Immediately following the film Stanley's Tiffin Box on Sunday, October 7 at the Smith Rafael Film Center, join us in an Indian themed parade led by decorated horses around San Rafael (distance designed for little ones) culminating at the downtown Plaza for live Indian music, food provided by Arizmendi Bakery, Mr. Pickle and a performance by the Vandhana Dance Company featuring Kathak dancer, Megan Black.

See the films at the Sequoia in Mill Valley and bring the family to experience our Indian bazaar at the closing party, offering henna tattoos and bindi’s from the Bombay Beauty Bar. Or, take costumed pictures at the Punjab Pix. Better still join in with scarves and learn dance phrases in the Bollywood Ballroom. Enjoy live entertainment in the Taj Theater, featuring the popular band Crunchy Frog , tabla players and youth dancers and 2 short films. Ambassador of Children's Film Festival, MVFF35~

Kristy Campbell is a freelance writer, producer, speaker, and actress and Mom of five ranging in age from 3 to 19. She hails from the Midwest and credits her nurturing nature to her Michigan roots.

Kristy writes about transformation and women’s interests for Maria Shriver.com, and offers insights and humor into tween/teen parenting for Modern Mom and Mommytracked.

Her producing credits include KidsCookUSA, a children’s advocacy program using peer-to-peer encouragement to develop an interest in cooking. Kristy is grateful to serve as the Ambassador of the Children's Film Festival as she believes that imagination, storytelling and film should be a part of every child's life.
